Frequently Asked Questions

What is in-home care and who is it for?

In-home care provides support to assist people live safely and independently in their own homes. This includes assistance with personal care (showering, grooming, toileting), general housecleaning & laundry, gardening, accompanied transport to social events or medical appointments. and other tailored services. It is available through Private pay or Government funded in-home care to older Australians who need assistance with everyday activities to enjoy a good quality of life.

During your first consultation, we discuss the person’s needs, daily routines, mobility, memory, medication history, home environment,  personal & cultural preferences, and goals for independence. We then in consultation with the person seeking care tailor a personalised care plan (with right mix of home help, personal care, social support, transport, respite, dementia care, overnight care or other services) that fits their lifestyle and supports their independence at home. This can be done in person or via phone/video call.
